Brittany is a magical place and simply bursting with places to visit, discover and explore. There are a huge range of activities for those seeking a fun packed holiday. For those wanting to spend some time just relaxing there are wild beaches, enchanted forests and medieval villages to take a leisurely stroll. Brittany really does have it all, and for all age groups and tastes. The food is exceptional and the quality of the sea food simply can't be beaten. Take a wander round a local market and enjoy a crêpe; take a step back in time and learn about the dolmens and the standing stones and let your children run free through the sand dunes. Once you have experienced a Breton holiday you will never want to leave.

Close to anaya cottages
Anaya Cottages is in a very privileged location. We are on the edge of the Regional Natural Parc of Armorique, and the natural area known as the Monts d'Arrée, both of which are ideal for walking and cycling. Just a few minutes from the cottages you have the town of Huelgoat and its enchanted forest and magical stones. We are extremely close to the Nantes/Brest canal with numerous walks and cycle paths. The local town of Chateauneuf-du-Faou not only offers full amenities but is also well worth the visit. The nearby villages of Locronan, Faou and Le Faouet make a charming day out especially if you include a couple of Breton markets.

There are numerous castles, museums, animals parks, children's theme parks and aquariums to visit, and with a large range of activities for all ages.

For the more adventurous why not head to Carnac to see the standing stones, the Valley of the Saints, or the enchanted forest of Broceliande with its legends of King Arthur. To the north you will find Roscoff and a little further, The Granite Rose coastline.
Saint Malo is not to be missed and well worth taking the time to visit especially if you arrive there by ferry.

You will certainly never be at a loss of things to see and do. Although we also highly recommend just relaxing and sampling the amazing local food and cider.

Within 30 minutes of the cottages you will reach the sea. The wild Breton coastline is simply stunning, with golden sandy beaches, amazing rock formations, lighthouses to visit and rockpooling for the kids. The seaside towns of Douarnenez and Concarneau make great days out, as does Quimper for a stroll around the shops and a taste of Breton life. The Pointe du Raz, at the very tip of the penisular is a great place to explore, as is the Crozon peninsular. There are numerous boat trips to the many islands that are dotted along the Breton coast, and of course water sports of all kinds are available.
